Rules and Regulations

Film Competition Rules & Regulations

- Films should be submitted through FilmFreeway.
- The entry fee is nonrefundable.
- More than one entry may be submitted.  Each entry must have a separate submission and fee.
- Films produced in languages other than English should have legible English subtitles.
- Entrants are responsible for obtaining any necessary licenses, royalties, release forms, clearances, permits necessary to present their work.
- The selection committees’ and juries’ decisions are final.
- London Film Awards reserves the right to make any necessary changes in regulations or scheduling.
- Awards are presented to only those projects the Jury deems worthy of recognition.  Jury members reserve the right not to grant an award.
- Entry in the competition is void where prohibited by law.
- By submitting your project to the London Film Awards you represent that you have read, understand and agree to all competition rules and regulations.

Screenplay Competition Rules & Regulations

General Rules:
- Screenplays/Teleplays must be the original work of the applicants.
- If a submission involves two or more writers as applicants, the award will be divided equally among them.
- Applicants may submit more than one screenplay/teleplay in any chosen category. Each entry requires an application, payment and script.
- Once an entry payment has been processed we cannot provide a refund.
- Awards are based on overall merit of the entries. Judges reserve the right not to grant an award.
- We strongly suggest that applicants register or copyright their screenplays/teleplays with the Writers Guild of America.
- Applicants retain all rights to their entries.
- No revisions or missing pages will be accepted once an entry has been received.

Format Rules:
- Screenplays/Teleplays should be formatted according to current industry standards.
- To follow standard guidelines for format, consult any popular screenwriting or teleplay writing text for assistance.
- Font size should be 12 point and in Courier type.
- Scripts must be in PDF format under 10MB.
